Soie is an online retail store selling silk sleep and self-care products. We are based in Hungary and operate under EU law. Our contact email is hello@soie.store.

What data we collect and why

Order information

When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, billing and shipping address, phone number, and payment details. We use this to process and fulfil your order, send order confirmations and shipping updates, and handle returns or queries. Legal basis: contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Account information

If you create an account, we store your login credentials and order history. Legal basis: contract performance and legitimate interest.

Marketing emails

If you opt in to marketing communications, we'll use your email to send you promotions and new product updates. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.

Analytics & cookies

We use cookies and analytics tools (including Shopify's built-in analytics) to understand how visitors use our store. This helps us improve the shopping experience. Legal basis: legitimate interest. You can manage cookie preferences via our cookie banner.

Who we share data with

We share your data only with service providers who help us operate our store:

Shopify Inc. — our e-commerce platform (data processor)
Payment providers (e.g. Shopify Payments / Stripe) — for processing transactions
Shipping / fulfilment partners — to deliver your order

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Data retention

We retain order data for 5 years as required by Hungarian and EU tax law. Marketing preferences are kept until you withdraw consent.

Your rights
